Laura Gordon did an absolutely wonderful job on the Global Love In Action website.As an old construction professional I used to tell my prospective clients to choose the contractor that they felt could give them the best combination of time, cost and quality. That adage ended up proving true in the design of our website.
I had, frankly, used two other “experts” and wasted months of time and lots of money before I gave up and did some serious research on who could build the site that I knew we needed. Laura promptly and completely responded to every question asked of her. I knew what we needed and she understood the need and gave me a timeframe, a price and assured me the quality would be more than acceptable.
She performed, in spades.
There is simply nothing that she said she would do that she didn’t do – I very seldom give someone a 10 on a scale of 1-10 – she gets a 10.

I am an ‘Engineer who is running a company (although sometimes I think the company runs me)’. I met Laura at a Joomla NYC conference in the late fall of 2009. She made me quickly and professionally know that my concerns, processes and mental roadblocks were all very normal, easily worked through and that she did a lot of the creative cooking. I knew we needed a website that appeals to our target audience of IT clients and job seekers but the task of creating one was daunting as I have limited time and no creative processes. I had interviewed several individuals and reviewed portfolios but never felt a sense that they could capture the simplicity, beauty and functionality that would appeal to me the person who has to look (and pay for) the site.I love our website, our clients love our website- it works with our backend, it is beautiful (in the eyes of the beholder), it was very affordable and I had fun creating it with Laura.
She is a professional – creative, patient, very good at her job! She went the extra mile (or two) to help me transfer a vague image of what I wanted into the reality of what we have.

Great website design requires a balanced knowledge of both Form and Function.Thanks to Laura, among other improvements I now have forms that function!! She took a very bad situation and turned it into the best thing to ever happen to my business site.

When I first spoke with Laura I was impressed by how much she was willing to explain exactly how she would design our site, The PCI Knowledge Base, www.KnowPCI.com.Other website designers tried to impress us by "talking technology" but Laura focused on making the process completely understandable. I am not particularly computer savvy and the thought of designing and maintaining my own website was daunting, to say the least! I am thankful that Laura Gordon was contracted to work with me on this process.Laura met with me, learned as much as she could about the child care center, sifted through all my materials, helped me to determine which items were the most important to highlight on the website and creatively designed a beautiful and functional website. Laura patiently instructed me on how to post photos and additional information and how to edit the website to keep it fresh.
She always answered my seemingly endless questions clearly and with an understanding that I would probably be asking them again!
